Photographing my niece Rhema's wedding at a Ukrainian Baptist Church in Federal Way, Washington, was an incredible honor. The whole day was filled with love, tradition, and faith, focused on Rhema and Pedro's commitment to each other before God. After the ceremony and a heartfelt reception, we headed down to Redondo Beach for some stunning portraits. Rhema looked beautiful in her dress, and Pedro was all smiles! From a photographer’s perspective, this wedding was a truly unique experience. What stood out most was the incredible humility and down-to-earth nature of Rhema and Pedro. While conservative weddings often have a distinct vibe, this one was truly special. I was struck by the tight-knit Ukrainian community in Federal Way and the generosity and warmth radiating from everyone present. Even without alcohol, the reception was filled with just as much joy and celebration as any open-bar wedding.

The key takeaway for me was a simple yet powerful message woven throughout the ceremony: "Love each other the same way that God loved you." It's a profound principle for anyone who believes in a higher power, and it's clear that Rhema and Pedro embody this love fully.
